Frequently Asked Questions
1. Are we really locked in a room?
No. We will close the door behind you, but you are able to leave the room at any time.
2. How long is each game?
It depends on the escape game room you’re playing. The small and medium sized game rooms are 60 minutes long The large room is 70 minutes long and the extra large room is 75 minutes long. You will be able to see the length of each game when booking the room.
3. Do I need to wear anything special?
Not for most games. However, there may be times when something special is recommended. Look for the NOTES: in each game description to find out if that game requires anything special.
4. Is the location handicapped accessible?
Most rooms are. We welcome everyone to enjoy and experience our games.
5. Do I need any special prior puzzle solving experience?
No. Anyone can join in the fun. However, for a truly rewarding experience, we ask that our players not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs while playing the games, as a matter of safety to all players (including themselves,), staff, and the designs in the room.
6. Is there parking available?
Yes. We are located in a shopping center where there is plenty of parking.
7. Can children participate?
We would like to ensure all our players have an outstanding time. Some of our puzzles can be quite challenging so we recommend the games be played by children over 12 years old. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult, unless the entire game room is booked as a private party. Some games will not be suitable for children under 14 years old. Look for the NOTES: in each game description to find out if that game carries a warning.
8. Do I need a reservation to enjoy the Escape Room games?
Although reservations aren’t required, they are highly recommended to ensure you are able to play the game you want at the time you want. We do welcome walk-in players, but we can not guarantee there will be a game available at the time you arrive. We strongly urge you to book ahead. Please note, at this time, each person’s reservation has to be made separately. To save time, call us, and we’ll gladly enter the reservation for you.
9. How far in advance should I book a reservation?
You should book a reservation as soon as you can. Keep in mind the time between late spring and early fall are the busiest because of the tourists season in our area, so the games will fill up a lot quicker during those times.
10. Do I need to sign a waiver before I play a game?
Yes. You will be required to sign a waiver prior to playing any game. Players under 18 years old will require the signature of their parent or legal guardian. No one will be permitted to participate in any game without a signed waiver. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS. Please click here to download and print a copy of the waiver. It can be signed ahead of time, or signed at the Puzzle over This location.
11. If I only have 2 or 3 people in my group will we be placed with strangers to fill the time slot?
All games are open to anyone until the game reaches full capacity. So, yes, there is the possibility of strangers playing the same game in the same room as you. But that adds to the fun! If you want to ensure you have the room to just the people in your party, then you can book all the spots in that room.
12. Can I bring extra people?
You can bring extra people IF they have the proper consent, and are not under the influence of any drugs or alcohol. However, if the room is filled to capacity, the players that have previously booked the room will play, and the extra people will not be able to play. We will strictly adhere to the maximum numbers of players per room.
13. What if I need to change my reservation?
A reservation that is already booked, can be changed up to 24 hours prior to the reservation start time. After that, all sales are final and there will be no refunds or changes made.
14. What happens if I/we arrive late?
We ask that everyone arrive no later than 15 minutes before your game is to begin. That time is needed to complete a Liability Waiver and get an introduction to your game. The games start exactly on time. If you arrive after the game has begun, you will forfeit your reservation and not be allowed access to the game, nor a refund on your reservation. This is to ensure the players in the game are able to play uninterrupted without outside distractions. Please be mindful of the time and arrive at least 15 minuted prior to the start of your game.
15. I want to book a reservation as a celebration for a Birthday/Anniversary/Gender Reveal Party/Proposal and have a special something (gift/ring/teddy bear/gift cards) I want to put in the room. Do I have to book a private party for that?
Special events are something that you want to spend with those that are closest to you. We would highly recommend making a private party reservation for a special celebration. We can “hide” most special item(s) in the game rooms. Be sure to ask about renting the Private Party Room, after the game is over, to extend the celebration.
16. What are some recommendations for events at Puzzle over This?
Escape Room games can be great fun and very challenging. Some suggestions for events are: Home school groups, religious/youth groups, reunions, birthday parties, date night, girls night out, guys night out, special occasions, fundraising events, and corporate team-building and training. Call us and we can help you plan your next event.
17. Can I buy a gift certificate for someone?
Yes. Gift certificates are available on our BOOK ONLINE tab and at the Puzzle over This location. They make great gifts for babysitters, pet-sitters, teachers, co-workers, and stocking stuffers too.
18. How do I REDEEM a gift certificate given to me?
When you book a reservation through our BOOK ONLINE tab there will be a place to enter the gift certificate.
19. Do I have to make a deposit or pay in advance when I make a reservation?
No, although you may be asked to enter a credit card number when making the reservation, you are not charged for the reservation until you come in to play. Please have your credit card with you even if you entered it online, as the system will require it when making the actual purchase.
20. The reservation site won’t let me enter more than one person.
Unfortunately, at this time, each player must be entered individually when making the reservation on line. Just call us and we would be happy to make the reservation for you.
